Women Legal Awareness Camp

Today, a women Vidyakik Awareness camp was organized in Kaza, in the Spiti Valley, which was chaired by Dr. Daji Thakur, Chairperson, State Women Commission.
While emphasizing the safety of women on this occasion, Dr. Daisy said that there has been an increase in violent incidents of violence against women, which is why women need to know their rights. They strengthened the Aanganbadi workers and helpers to bring the plans of the state government to the women.
The President said that the demand for provision of leave for 750 days leave for women working in various institutions by the Commission will be put before the state government. These 750 days leave will be given to women to take care of their children, unless their children attain 18 years of age.
Sandeep Negi, Member Secretary, State Women Commission, gave a detailed account of the functioning of the Commission on this occasion. He said that many schemes are being run by the Commission to provide protection to women, who are being brought to the grassroots.
On this occasion, District Bar Association’s advocates Sunil Kumar, Chandraprabhakar and Manoj Negi informed the women present at the function.
 Earlier, Vidyik Awareness camp was organized by the State Women’s Commission in Pooh of District Kinnaur.
