Tribal Craftsmanship fair

One day tribal craftsmanship fair was organized by district industry office, Kinnaur and Indian Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Association Limited (TRIFED) at Dev Bhoomi Arts Center, Reckong Peo, Kinnaur.
Assistent Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner Sh.Surendra Thakur inaugurated the fair and said that this event will give the opportunity to get recognition of local products like handicrafts, art crafts etc. at national and international level. Local craftsmen will get a business platform from this event. He said that it is necessary to extend Kinnaur’s traditional art along with Himachal so that the artisans of the district can be promoted.
On this occasion, Sh.Sar Chander Negi, General Manager, District Industry Office, Kinnaur said that the purpose of this fair is to provide a commercial platform to Kinnaur’s basic biological products such as black cumin, rajma, almond, as well as handicrafts, crafts art etc. of the district. This will give local craftsmen a new direction of business.
In the tribal craftsmanship fair, the section of Kinnaur and the self-help group of Kalpa region participated.
On this occasion, Naveen Kumar, Project Officer, District Rural Development Authority, Jayawanti Thakur, Block Development Officer and S K Naagar Sub-Manager, Tryfed were also present.
