Review meeting of India-China border trade via Shipkila was held in the Additional District Magistrate’s Auditorium in Pooh, which was chaired by Additional District Magistrate Pooh Shivamohan Saini. Presiding over the meeting, Shiv Mohan Saini said that this year, the India-China border trade will run from 1 June 2018 to 30 November 2018 so that traders in the district can be financially prosperous by doing business.
In the meeting, the Speaker apprised everyone that in the year 2018, goods worth about one lakh 87 thousand rupees and import of goods worth about one lakh 80 thousand rupees were imported in India-China border trade. He said that in the year 2017, about 59 lakh 27 thousand rupees was traded and this year 72 letters of merchandise have been received in which 40 have been verified and out of which 32 have been issued to the people, besides this A demand of 200 passes has been sent so that more and more people can do business.
It was informed in the meeting that the pre-fibrated Trade Mart will be constructed at the cost of Rs 71 lakhs in the closing of Pooh section, in which traders can get all facilities under a single window. The quarantine station will be installed soon by selecting the land in the shade so that the ban on imports of animals can be removed.
It was informed in the meeting that in order to solve the water problem of traders, water will be provided by the I-PH department by laying 2000 liters of water tank in this month and in future, the storage tank of 10,000 liters water By the water system will be repaired.
On this occasion, members of Trade Committee including GM Chandi Negi, Tehsildar Hussan Chandra, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Department Naveen Kumar, Hite Negi President Indo China Business Committee and officers of the Army, including officials of various departments were present on the occasion.
