The tract of Kinnaur district due to great variation in its elevation, climate and topography represents varied fauna and flaura. For the reasons for their ecological, faunal, floral and geomophilogical importance three wild life sanctuaries are set up in the district. The min objective of these are to save the rare species. Varied varieties of wildlife can be seen in these sanctuaries.
Bhaba Valley to Pin Valley
Day First: Kafnoo to Kara (Bhabakanda) : Distance 18 Km. Covering thick forest of Deodar, pine spruce and green pastures.
Day Second: Kara to Baldar : Distance 20 Km. Crosses Bhaba Kanda pass and joins the Pin valley. Adventurous glacier crossing is the most exciting event.
Day Third: Baldar to Mud village : Distance :10 Km.: On third day one can enjoy Scenic beauty of Baldar pastures which is a widely open valley.
Day Fourth: Mud to Kungri Monastery : 14 Km. : At Kungri a big monastery exists. One thousand rooms are proposed to be constructed here. Tiling, tonnam, Khar, Sagnam and Mikkim villages are covered on fourth day. There are twelve villages in pin valley.
Kinner kailash Parikarma
Day First: Thangi to Charang: 32 Km. : Lamber village exists in between. This is a narrow valley.
Day Second: Charang to Lalanti : 15 Km. : It is a difficult trek having steep climb. Height of lalanti is about 15000 feet. Trekkers are advised to carry tents for stay at lalanti.
Day Third: Lalanti to Chhitkul: 20 Km. :Very difficult trek. Lalanti pass is ahead, situated at about 17000 feet. Early journey is required to cross the pass. After crossing pass there is steep down journey to chhitkul.
Sangla to Dodra Kawar
Day First: Thangi to Charang: 32 Km. : Lamber village exists in between. This is a narrow valley.

Kinnaur – A pioneer trekking over Listigarang- and Kashang pass(The Krishna temple at Yula Kanda)
Sangla to Dhamwari
Day First: Sangla to Kanda Soroden : 7 Km
Day Second: Soroden to Dondyo : 9 Km.
Day Third: Dondyo to Litham : 15 Km. It is very difficult trek covering Gonas pass at the height of about 16000 ft. One needs to take an early start to reach before darkness. Beautiful waterfall at Litham. Puber river flows from Gonas pass. Long glaciers are seen after crossing the pass.
Day Fourth: Litham to Janglik : 15 Km. : Day Fifth: Janglik village to Dhamwari : 18 Km. : In between lies the villages of Tangnu and Pekha.
Sangla to Barang
Day First: Sangla to Barang : 30 km
Tapri to Chhitkul
Day First: Tapri to Kilba via Chholtu and Thokro : 15 Km. : Forest rest house is available at Kilba.
Day Second: Kilba to Sapni via Kanai village-12 Km. : Forest rest house is available at Sapni.
Day Third: Sapni to Sangla via Baturi, Brua, Shong and Chansu : 25 Km. : Forest rest house is available at Sangla.
Day Fourth: Sangla to Rakchham via Kashmir and Batseri village : 20 Km. : Trout fish form at Kashmir. At Batseri village route is to be divided by crossing river Baspa.
Day Fifth: Rakchham to Chhitkul : 10 Km. :Height of Chhitkul is 11000ft. Last village of Sangla Tehsil. Chitkul
Tapri to Kalpa
Day First: Tapri to Urni via Chagaon : 12 Km. : There are 14 ancient temples at Chagaon. Rest house at Urni is available.
Day Second: Urni to Roghi via Yula, Meeru and Runang : 15 Km. : Rest house at Roghi.
Day Third: Roghi to Kalpa : 7 Km. : Circuit house Kalpa.
Reckong Peo to Nako
Day First: Reckong Peo to Kashang Kanda via Telengi and Pangi village : 20 Km. : At Kashang one can enjoy the scenic beauty of thick forest & lush green pastures. One glacier viz. Mukim-Chikim from where Kashang nullah orginates, is also situated at Kashang Kanda.
Day Second: Kashang to Lippa via Asrang village : 15 Km. : The trekking route passes through a wild life sanctuary in which various wild animals such as ibex, black sheep etc. can be frequently seen.
Day Third: Lipa to Temcho Lake : 10 Km., Height : 16000 ft.-via Changmang, Santtang : The villagers of Asrang, Lippa, Spilo, Kanam, Labrang, Karla, Ropa, Giabung, Rushking, Sunnam gathered at Changmang Santtang to celebrate Phullach (festival of flowers) on fourth September (20th Bhado). The people of this area believe that Pandavas have made this lake.
Day Fourth: Temcho lake to Giabong : 15 Km. : Staging hut at Giobong.
Day Fifth: Giabong to Hango : 14 Km. :via Sunnam village: Steep climb to cross Hango pass. Beautiful village surrounded by mountains on three sides. I&PH staging hut is available for the convenience of tourists.
Day Sixth: Hango to Nako : 20 Km. : via Chuling, Liyo & Yangthang. At Liyo one has to cross river Spiti. Nako Lake
Chhitkul to Gangotri
For trekking on this route prior permission is required from the authorities. Day First: Chhitkul to Rani Kanda: 15 Km. approx. : The trek is on the right bank of the river Baspa. Lush green pastures & scenic beauty.
Day Second: Rani Kanda to Dhumti : 15 Km. approx.
Day Third: Dhumti to Nithal Thach : 10 Km.
Day Fourth: Nithal Thach to Rangthang : 10 Km. approx. : There are two passes one is Lamkhago pass. Another is Chhota pass. The height of pass is about 19000 ft.
Day Fifth: Rangthang to Gangotri

Day Fifth/Sixth: RAKCHAAM/CHITKUL/SANGLA/Kalpa (Overnight kalpa)
Leave Kalpa in the morning and head towards spillow,Nako.lunch at nako Explore Nako and leave for Tabo. On the way a detour to Gue (a place where Mummies are a prime attraction, whose hair and nails are still growing). Next Stop Tabo. Tabo Monastery is one of the oldest relics . Head towards Kaza.
