Dr.Major Avaninder Kumar held review Meeting with District Language officer

Dr. Major Avininder Kumar, Executive Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur today held a review meeting with the District Language Officer’s office. In the meeting, discussions regarding grant-in-aid being given by the District Language Office to protect the existing chronically old religious institutions and monuments in tribal area, Kinnaur, were discussed.
In the meeting, the District Language Officer informed the Deputy Commissioner that in the last three years till March 31, 2018, amount of about 86 lakh 24 thousand rupees from the Tribal Sub Plan budget under the Departmental Project 17 assisted by the department for the construction of various temples in the district. Granted as a grant.
It was informed in the meeting that the district functionaries are also promoting local artists at district level festivals and festivals. So far this year around 300 local artists of the district have been given the opportunity to participate in various events. It was informed in the meeting that under the cultural activity, the expenditure of approximately 5 lakh 39 thousand rupees has been spent by the office in last three years.
It was informed in the meeting that grants-in-aid is being provided to encourage fairs, festivals and folklore. In the last three years, a grant of approximately 5 lakh 70 thousand rupees has been provided to maintain the tradition of ancient fairs and festivals in the district. In order to promote literary activity in the district, organizing literary and cultural programs at the educational institutions and village level are being organized by the department. Under this scheme, about four lakh rupees have been spent in last three years.
